Programme structure

The Work Ready Programme provides a range of activities to provide job seeker skills and provides the experience required for students in their journey to work.


The Introduction to New Zealand employment series provides students with the knowledge of employment rights, how to find and apply for a job while studying, their workplace rights and how to communicate in the workplace.


The Graduate series builds on the Introduction to the New Zealand employment series. Students will be provided with one on one career advice, application skills, interview skills and a number of events which Dunedin employers will also attend. The graduate series is designed to kick start your career in New Zealand.


Introduction to New Zealand Employment (open to all international students currently studying)

Presented by some of Dunedin’s finest business talent the seminar series cover topics including:

  • Immigration a guide to working in New Zealand
  • Your workplace rights
  • How to  find and apply for a job and interviewing skills
  • What needs to be in your CV and how to write a cover Letter


Graduate Programme (by application only)
This programme is for students about to graduate from their studies and seeking employment in New Zealand. ALL sessions need to be attended as well as the Bootcamp series. Topics include:

  • Kiwi Workplace Culture
  • How to build your personal brand
  • How to sell your skills
  • Interviewing techniques
  • Networking techniques
  • CV and cover letter workshops
  • One on one career coaching


Events (Graduate Programme participants only)
Students who are accepted into the programme are invited to attend a number of events with local employers. These included “Get Connected” our networking event and “Mock Interview” night.
